This seven-day Hiking tour of the Nurata mountains will give you the opportunity to explore five picturesque mountain villages, vast Kyzylkum steppes and the largest lake in Central Asia, Aydarkul. You will also meet incredibly friendly locals and learn about their customs and traditions.

Day 1: Samarkand / Bukhara-Sentyab village
Arrival in Sentyab village. Walk through the village to see the local mosque, school and village shop. You will also get to know the local building style and the daily activities of the villagers. In the afternoon, free time in the family.
Day 2: Sentyab
Hike to Kadvan valley (15 km / 8 hours). Visit the ruins of an ancient fortress, a watermill and medieval Arabic writing on the rocks. Admiring the diverse flora and fauna and getting to know the rich life of the birds of the valley.
Day 3: Sentyab
Hike to the mountain lake Fazilman (10 hours / 22km return). You will see Aydarkul lake and Kyzylkum from the top of the plateau, meet friendly local farmers growing vegetables on the mountain plateau.
Day 4: Sentyab – Aydarkul Lake - Hayat
Leave Sentob through lake Aydarkul and head to the next mountain village of Hayat. Driving through the vast Kyzylkum steppes, you will reach the lake. Watch the rich aquatic life of birds, swim or just walk along the shores of the lake. The tour will continue with a walk of Hayat village.
Day 5: Hayat-Uhum village
A whole day walking tour to the nearby village of Uhum. Visit the ancient irrigation canals, see petroglyphs and get to know the way of life of the locals.
Day 6: Ukhum - Asraf
After collecting your belongings, go on a guided hike through the Ukhum to the next mountain village of Asraf (11 km / 4.5 hours). Luggage will be carried by donkeys. On the way, visit the communal water mill and the ruins of The Mongolian fortress.
Day 7: Asraf-Bukhara/Samarkand
Easy hike from Asraf to another Nurata mountain village - Eski Forish. On the way visit the ruins of a medieval observation post. Return to the village of Asraf, after lunch departure to the next destination.Prices and Service
